Meet Russ
Russ Bian is a computer engineering student at Oklahoma Christian University from Edmond, Oklahoma and he’s really happy to be a part of the VisuALS team.
Even though he’s only been a part of VisuALS for a few months, he says that it has really helped him to understand how working with just a small group of developers can make a big difference in the world.
His sister, Jan Bian, is a senior biology major at Oklahoma Christian University, and they spend a lot of time talking together about the intersection of technology and medicine, not only as a means of treatment, but also as a means of elevating the quality of life for those dealing with currently untreatable diseases.
Russ has a passion for programming because it allows people to take on large-scale problems, and break them down into smaller, more manageable pieces. Once the various pieces have been solved, the pieces can be combined to formulate a solution that can actually impact people’s lives.
